In case anyone was curious, the combination of a belly full of Mexican food, fumes from wood varnish and 93-degree weather is really, really unpleasant.
Suffice it to say my belly is no longer full. D:

Forwarding a rec from
spnroundtable for
ashe_frost in particular, because it's SPN slash that isn't Wincest, but also for anyone who loves Henricksen as much as I do:
Always Sere, Never Blooming by

Just over 2,000 words of Dean/Henricksen. A little AU from Jus in Bello, adult.

- Mood:cheerful
Man, I have a serious hankering for a SPN marathon, starting from the pilot. I can't do it alone, though. I want to sit with someone who's totally stoked about it and eat popcorn and make snarky commentary and gay jokes and roll my eyes when the Exposition Fairy (TM
ashe_frost) rears its ugly head, but none of my RL peeps like the show.
The closest I've got is V, who kind of grudgingly sits through it with me and pretends to hate it, when secretly I'm pretty sure he can't decide whether he wants to be Dean or bang him. Also, V is not one for marathons of any kind, unless it goes like this: video games + beer + rowdy, overgrown boys. *sigh*
My life is so hard, I know. D:

Baby has a fever and diarrhea. Nobody here is sleeping well tonight.
In much more entertaining news, this girl found a baby bat in her bra (that she'd been wearing all day).

So I bought baby a spill-proof bowl for his Cheerios, since this has become a serious addiction.
Turns out "spill-proof" is not entirely accurate. It's something more like "spill-preventive-for-all-of-thirty-seco nds". You can see where baby's been by the trail of cereal left in his wake.

I was really hoping I could marry Aaron Stanford and be a dog whisperer. I even put in "burnt sienna" as one of my color options for Stanford!
Looks like I'll have to settle for Jared Padalecki's incredibly stupid dimples and hideously chiseled... um... everything. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED, LET ME TELL YOU. But I guess Jared would be totes okay driving a hot pink car, if his fashion choices are any clue.
I'm trying to figure out how it's physically possible to fit 27 kids into a single BMW; I'm assuming we'll just have a giant caravan of hot pink BMWs, which is, all joking aside, kind of awesome.
Also? It would appear that Jared and I are either addicted to adopting children or obscenely fertile. D: D: D:

Congratulations to Mr. Obama on winning the Democratic nomination.
So Obama/Clinton is my new political OTP. Pls to be making it real? ♥

What I cannot figure out is why my social awkwardness and anxiety kicks in at the strangest times. Like over the internet. It's like I've failed so hard recently at communicating with people I don't know that I can't even leave comments somewhere without immediately feeling uncomfortable and even a little nauseated.

What's your lifelong forever OTP? From any fandom.
Tell me about how you and V met and some quick facts on your relationship.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, bb!
Anyway... ( My OTP... or lack thereof. )

From the ask me anything post,
sharona1x2 asked me:
What's your favorite thing to cook (or bake)?
I SQUEE'D over this. I may not blog about it often, but I love both cooking and baking. The kitchen is my zen place. Everything about the process is calming, even when I'm doing four things at once. I'm really little Susie Homemaker. NO LIE.
Of course, with the baby, I typically have to go for quicker meals. I usually wait until V gets home so he can watch baby, then I'll make something in 30 to 45 minutes. I also love to make things like creamy potato soup or chili in the crock pot and let them sit all day, and I'd share those recipes if I had them; they're more the kind of dish where I say, "Hm, what's lying around the house?" Haha. Anyway, yay for a chance to share recipes!
( Pork Chops with Dijon Sauce )
( Garlic Dill New Potatoes )
( Shiitake Mushrooms w/ Tarragon )
I also love just plain veggies, as long as they stay crispy. My favorites are asparagus and zucchini just cooked in some margarine or olive oil with a little salt and pepper. So good!
Okay, last but not least, I love to make (and eat, obvs) COOKIES. I love baking in general, but making cookies is just so easy and fun. These are my two favorite cookie recipes:
( Soft Christmas Cookies )
( Chai Butter Cookies )
Okay, I think that's more than enough. SERIOUSLY. :D Can you tell I love this? Feel free to share your own in comments, because I am that excited.

I tried to make thinky-thoughts on SPN's most recent episode, but
ashe_frost distracted me with ( some WTF-inducing photos of Jensen )

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything [within reason] : latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal if you are so inclined.
Go for it. I'm very interested in this, because I think I don't blog enough, and it seems like fun.

It would seem that "As the World Turns" is getting some serous flak and being pressured to remove the storyline between two homosexual men. This only takes a few seconds (literally) to do, and I figure it's for a good cause. Info from
keepaofthecheez:
In response to heat they're getting from the American Family Association, P&G is conducting a phone poll to see if people are for or against the Luke/Noah storyline on As The World Turns. Even if you don't watch the show, please consider taking a quick moment to support boy kissing and thwart homophobic bigotry. The poll is completely automated. You don't have to talk to anyone. And it really does take all of a second to register your opinion.
Just call 1-800-331-3774 and press #2 to get to the ATWT poll, then press 1 to continue the storyline.
Please spread the word if you're so inclined.
ETA: When I called, it gave me an English/Spanish option before I could choose to get to the poll, so these directions may not be 100% accurate for everyone. Either way, it's only two or three pushes of a button. :)
